Data Protection

This web site’s contents can be enjoyed with all the ease of not being tracked.

I do not know users’ identity and will do nothing to figure out who they are.

This explains why I do not ask for their consent: it is not possible to abide by the law if one’s counterpart is unknown.

I do not have social network’s ‘share buttons’, comments are disabled, as are user registration features.

I only use those cookies and pieces of code that make Google Analytics work.

Checking this website with some online tool reveals two cookies ‘_utmz’ and ‘_utma’. The former tracks sessions, the latter the location. You may find more information here. They are needed by Google Analytics. Google does not send me any personal information about users. Still, it can autonomously collect it by matching with other information only Google is privy to. If so, it is solely Google’s responsibility to provide the concerned users with correct information. They can give Google their IP number and ask what it do know about them also in relation to this website.

Users concerned about their own personal privacy should avoid tracking-enabled devices, use privacy-friendly browsers and extensions, Tor networks and VPN to access the Internet.

Protecting your personal information is your responsibility

Questions and data protection-related issues can be reported at my professional addresses.

Comments are welcomed but abusive words, libel and in general offensive behaviour are not tolerated. This is why I reserve for myself the right of approve or remove any comment at my sole will. In case of abuse, all the available information will be reported to the public authorities.

Press law (L. 47/1948 – L. 62/01)
Although I’m a journalist (giornalista-pubblicista, in Italian) this site is not intended to provide professional activities and is not updated on a regular basis. This statement might seems odd for non-italians, but is mandatory to avoid to be jailed for “clandestine press activity”. And, yes, just in case you ask: Italy is supposed to be a democratic country.
